Update 1 from Mrs Jones

I hope you are all being kind, staying safe and staying home.
I thought I would update you every once in a while about what I am doing during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Yesterday my daughter helped me in the garden and we cut some hedges and bushes.  It was lovely to be outside in the sunshine.  We even had morning tea outside.  We made friends with a kitten who must belong to one of our neighbours.  It meowed a lot more than a normal cat but it was super friendly.  It even managed to sneak into our house when Chelsea was bringing my coffee outside to me!
On Tuesday some of the teachers brought jigsaws to school and swapped them with each other.  I have started a jigsaw that Mrs Harris has lent me.  I have managed to get most of the outside edge finished so far.  I have been using colour to sort similar pieces.  There are a lot of trees!  It is good because it can just sit on the table and I can do a little bit when I walk past it.
This morning Chelsea and I went for a big 40 minute walk around the block.  It was good to get outside and have some fresh air.  It was kind of weird that there were hardly any cars driving around but also good that people are following the rules and staying at home.
I baked scones for lunch today which was yummy.
I have also been playing around with Google 3D view - when you Google an animal you can select to se it in 3D and you see a lion or a goat in your lounge with you.  I have put a link to the instructions on our learning site in the Home Learning section.
I have been enjoying checking my emails from our students who are doing some amazing home learning and putting new posts on their blogs.
If you want to tell me what you have been up to so far, leave me a comment below.

    1. Thanks for commenting on my post. It was great to do some gardening. Now I look out the window and I see a pile of hedge clippings getting wetter and wetter in the rain. I hope the weather improves so I can do some more gardening.

    1. Hi Bailee. People around my neighbourhood are doing the teddy bear hunt as well. I don't have any windows that people can see from the street as our fence is too high. I would of loved to put a bear at the window otherwise. Have you got a bear up in your window?
